TUSKEGEE, Ala. and LOS ANGELES, Calif – July 16, 2026 – ScribbleVet, an AI-powered scribe used by thousands of veterinarians, and the Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine (TUCVM) recently announced that the University has adopted ScribbleVet for use within its veterinary teaching hospital.
“We are excited to partner with ScribbleVet to provide our students with innovative tools and modern technology that prepare them for success in today’s evolving veterinary profession,” said Dr. Ebony Gilbreath, Dean of the Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine.
“At TUCVM, we are committed to preparing students for the realities of modern veterinary practice while supporting our clinical teams in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care,” added Ricardo Irizarry, DVM, ACVECC, Associate Professor of Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care. “ScribbleVet offers a practical way to reduce documentation burden, improve workflow, and give our students meaningful exposure to AI-supported tools they are likely to encounter in practice.”
ScribbleVet is a digital scribe tool that leverages artificial intelligence to complete veterinary SOAP notes during a patient exam by recording the appointment. As a result, veterinarians can finish their medical notes and complete medical record-keeping in minutes rather than hours each day.
“Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine occupies a singular place in American veterinary medicine as the first Historically Black College or University (HBCU) veterinary school in the country, having trained more than 70 percent of the nation’s African American veterinarians.” said Kat Reardon, DVM, Senior Veterinary Officer at ScribbleVet. “We are proud to support TUCVM’s clinicians and students with tools that reduce administrative burden and free up more time for patient care.”
